Nightlife in La Manga
The nights in La Manga have a special flavour given to the
playful character, intrinsic to Mediterranean towns. The visitor
can choose from every possible type of bar or restaurant, and
during the summer months people come from miles around to
experience the varied nightlife of La Manga. Young and old are
catered for. The young tend to head for Cabo de Palos, which
changes from a sleepy fishing village by day to a bustling
selection of clubs and pubs with music to suit all. There is
nothing more beautiful than gazing at a full moon bathing the
waters of the Mediterranean, or getting into the warm waters of
the sea for a dip between dances.

Everyone visits "El Zoco Alcazaba" with its collections of
shops, bars and restaurants. Things really start to come alive
in the early hours of the morning and offer an incredible choice
of bars and music for those with the stamina.
In the Puerto Bello area at the entrance to La Manga, pubs with
German or English ambience are plentiful, where you can play
darts or drink any type of imported beer, and enjoy live music.
Plaza Bohemia has an atmosphere all its own with a night time
market during the summer months taking place every night,
surrounded by pubs and bars catering for every taste.
For a more sedate form of pleasure, La Manga has its own casino,
which operates all year round in the hotel Doblemar or the Hyatt
at the La Manga Club. Offering the usual games, roulette,
blackjack, baccarat plus the inevitable slot machines all in
luxurious surroundings.
For an unusual night out you may choose to visit one of the
three open-air cinemas offering different programmes each night.
Young and old alike take popcorn and plastic chairs to enjoy a
night's entertainment. The films are however normally in
Spanish, which might make it difficult for the average tourist.
If that were not enough, the beauty of the surroundings turns
the nightspots into magical places, apt for conversation,
entertainment and for meeting people.
